We aim to serve fresh, and whenever possible, locally produced and hand- reared food in a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. All our food is freshly prepared on the premises by our Chef Simon and his team. For this reason we can cater for any specific dietary requirement (preferably with prior warning though we can always improvise if needed!)
We are very proud to accommodate Vegetarian and Vegan diets and many of our menu items are gluten free. We make all our sauces ourselves using fresh stock – we do not use thickening agents. We make all our soups from scratch. Please feel free to ask us anything you need to know about our food.

We have a different themed evening menu on the fourth friday of every month, and a curry night on the 2nd thursday of every month. Please look on our events page calendar here for more details.
We have 3 different areas for dining:
A traditional warm and cosy bar area that is over 200 years old with wobbly walls, low ceilings and mesmerising wood burners.
A more contemporary round dining area over looking the historic Horton Folly and lush green fields full of sheep.
And last but not least, a function room that can seat up to 90, overlooking the garden with it’s own bar, entrance and toilets.
